Weekly Updates - Week of 9/14/15

There have been some updates to the website over the last couple of weeks.

1. DMS Theory Assignments can now be downloaded and printed from home if a student loses their paper.
2. Warm-ups, scales, chorales, etc. can now be downloaded from the Student Notebook Items link under the DMS Bands and DCHS Bands tabs.
3. Links to several music games have been uploaded to the website.  You may access them through the Games tab at the top of the page.  Additional links will be added over the next few days/weeks.

DMS Announcements

1. Several students still need to pay for their notebooks ($6.00) and many students have not turned in their handbook agreement forms.  You may check Charms to verify what has been turned in or if there is money owed.  If you believe there is an error, please contact us and we will double check.
2. The Weekly Assignment sheets will continue to be uploaded to the website, however, we will no longer be printing those for every student each week.
3. Please check the information on the homepage (www.dcband.org) for information about SmartMusic.  Students are eligible for a FREE subscription for all material in their Essential Elements books.

DCHS Announcements

1. Chair placement music will be handed out on Thursday.  Auditions will occur on Thursday, September 24.  Auditions will be recorded and will be anonymous.
2. Students need to start bringing in their black notebooks on Thursday, September 17th.  There will be additional materials added to them this year.  If a student needs a new notebook, they are $6.00.  We need to know ASAP who needs one so we can copy all items.

Marching Band Announcements

1. Report time for Friday, September 18th is 5:00 p.m.
2. Remember that Transportation Waivers are due BEFORE we leave the high school.
3. Upcoming marching competition dates and location (Report and Performance times will be given out as soon as possible.  Schedules are not released until roughly one week before):

                         September 26th - Bradley Central High School, Cleveland, TN.
                         October 10th - Stone Memorial High School, Crossville, TN.
