Practice Makes Perfect

The DMS playing tests have been moved to Thursday. Please help make sure your student is practicing so they can do their best. (6th 1.29, 7th Eb Scale, 8th 2-8va Eb Scale).

The fruit sale is in full swing! Remember orders are due by the 14th. No check or cash, no problem. Order at dcband.org with cards!

Next week in Fall Break and all instruments go home for breaks. Encourage your student to practice over break. Perfect time for a mini home concert!

​The workbook the DMS bands uses, Measures of Success, has wonderful resources to help practice. Videos and listening examples as well as play along tracks. You can locate them at http://www.fjhmusic.com/mos/ 

The DCHS Band will be performing a LiveStream concert on October 23 at 1:30. Links to come. Please make sure all students have proper concert attire. We would love for you to be able to tune in and hear. Want to come see it live? Come on down to the DCHS Auditorium. 

The 7th/8th combined bands have their first concert quickly approaching on November 11 in the DMS Gym at approx 1:30. Please make sure they have proper concert attire. All black. The community is always welcome to these programs.
