Student Leadership Training
Any current Dade County High School Band member in grades 9 - 11 have the opportunity to be considered for a student leadership position for the following school year. These positions extend through the full school year. Students are not guaranteed a position from one year to the next just because they held one in the past.

There are specific requirements that students must meet to be eligible for a student leadership position:
- The student must first attend the Student Leadership Training classes that take place every Monday in April, from 3:10 - 4:30. The classes consist of the various aspects of being a great leader.
- Student leadership positions in the Dade County High School Band have experience requirements. Below, you may view what positions are available, experience requirements needed, responsibilities of each position, and details about the selection process.
- Students must complete a set of objectives to be considered for a leadership position. You can view the required objectives below.
- The position of Drum Major has an additional audition requirement. You may view the additional audition requirements below.
